Clinical information:

The proving symptoms on which O.A. Julian relies are from Manuel M. De Legarreta, in 1894. De Legarreta proved Terebinthina teocote, the Mexican variety of Pinus Maritimus L.
According to the account given by his son, this proving on himself caused him to contract chronic nephritis, which he was never able to cure entirely, and which was the underlying cause of his death in May 1912 in Mexico, at the age of 62.
Julian notes: "Dr. Carranza used terebenthin from Chios, which came from Terebinto-Pistacia terebinthus, but whose properties are the same as those of "teocote"."
